Former U.S. President Donald Trump has unveiled a wide-reaching tariff policy set to significantly impact global trade. Under the new policy, a 10% baseline tariff will be applied to nearly all imports, excluding Canada and Mexico, with additional tariffs targeting foreign-made cars at 25%. Starting April 9, reciprocal tariffs will apply to 60 countries, including China, which faces a 34% tariff. These measures aim to address the U.S. trade deficit and bolster domestic industries.
